The deadly Mantis is one of the fifties "Giant Bug" movies that hoped to
follow in the lofty footsteps of "THEM". I remember this film fondly
and count it among my favorites. It terrified me when I was young
especially the bus scene but it has become dated with time. However
I have never lost my fondness for this and other films of the period no
matter how bad they might seem today.
