This page is dedicated to one of the more obscure films made by hammer studios. it is hardly mentioned
or not mentioned at all on pages dedicated to the famous studio with most of the attention
focusing on the quatermass series and the gothic horror films starring christopher lee and peter cushing. yet with it's unusual plot and excellent
acting this film remains, in my opinion, one of the top films ever
produced by this studio.

PLOT

Before "The Blob", before "Caltiki", deep down in
the earth's core lurks a monster more terrifying
than any that ever walked the earth. awakened by
the army, hungrey for radioactivity , it leaves a
path of death and destruction in it's search for
food. Able to change it's form into any shape , it
terrifies residents and mystifies the police while
gorging itself and growing bigger with every meal.
Scientist, Dr. Adam Royston, must find a way to
stop it from feasting and killing. everything in its path. Will he succeed?
